*Lwandle is the Xhosa word for "Sea"   Lwandle Technologies is a 57% black owned and operated BEE company supplying oceanographic, marine survey and marine environmental services. Lwandle was launched on 1 November 2003 and now brings together a management team with over 50 years of experience in the industry. With access to the latest state of the art equipment and use of approved environmental assessment procedures, Lwandle provides professional, cost effective solutions in response to our clients' needs.   Technical assistance for the oceanographic services are supplied by Metocean Services International, part owner of Lwandle.

Lwandle also have strategic alliances with related service providers.   Dr Robin Carter, now a member of Lwandle and a specialist in applied marine sciences, heads the Marine Environmental Division. Services include environmental assessments and associated specialised marine, coastal ecology and biogeochemical investigations.
